Handing out promotional items is an excellent way to improve your company’s visibility and awareness, but giving it out when business is not so good is a whole different nine yards. Although some believed that continuous advertising even in bad times will bring tons of benefit, many still remain skeptic on its value. They insist that it does not sound right to spend more when you see your sales and profit declining every day. On the contrary, the proponents argue that substantial advertising campaigns will be more effective since there are only few businesses that are embarking on it. But they admit that such action would not really be that successful if the promotional merchandises are not properly selected.

When choosing what promotional items to give out to faithful and prospective customers, you should find something that has tie to your product or company you offer. Since attention span of customers is relatively short, you can increase product retention in the minds of your customer if you can come up with a specialized item easily identifiable with your company. In this case, you will be easily remembered whenever a need similar to the services or products you offer arises.

Seasonal giveaways may sit well with the taste of your consumers but it limits your company’s exposure. Same thing goes if you hand over edible or fragile items. You can always give a more fashionable items but its soundness should be similar to what a calendar can bring.

The promotional items will give your customers the impression of what your company is made up of. Make certain that your giveaway looks pricey and represents the strength and competence of your company but it is not necessarily something that will burden your pocket with its too much cost. There are wide array of items and suppliers to choose from, so only deal with reputable giveaway dealers and manufacturers. It would help you to decide with that perfect advertising item if you first ask of a sample order before finally making the decision to order in bulk.

To guide you even further on what promotional items to give, think of something that will make you smile when you are given a giveaway item. If you would like the item that you are planning to give, then it would most likely be enjoyed by your customers as well. The success of your promotional campaign will be further improved if you can relay the impression to your consumers that despite difficult times, you still think of them and find more ways to give something back for their continuous support and patronage of your product.
